We support free speech, open inquiry, and continued research in order to determine the best way to treat children, teens, and young adults with gender dysphoria.

Most major organizations currently labeled “LGBT” have websites that are currently very supportive of early social transition and medical transition of minors, despite the lack of proof of safety to previous cohorts or minors who may have dysphoria but resolve it and live lives as gay men and lesbians. They also often promote gender ideology that is based on left-wing academic, postmodern queer theory (“gender identity=literal biological sex” and “gender is a spectrum”). They highlight gender identity activist talking points and all of the existing positive data, (de Vries [2014]Olson [2016])around the affirmative model, which is valid to present. They do not adequately address risks to young people who may be harmed by not making the perfect decision around their gender as a cognitively immature minors. Many of these growing numbers of young people are LGB. We have provided links to the larger organizations below for access to these pro-transition arguments to demonstrate what the “affirmative” viewpoint entails and the complete failure to address any of the risks to mostly ASD and pe-gay and lesbian youth. They often promote outright false information.

There are several websites providing alternative viewpoints regarding the safety of transitioning increasing numbers of small children, teens, and young adults. These types of sites are not part of the well-funded “LGBT” identity politics narrative, who have real political power. But their numbers are increasing. Some provide insight into the problems with the affirmative model and, unlike bigger “LGBT organizations,” they address risks to gender nonconforming homosexual, bisexual, and heterosexual youth. They also question the effects gender ideology is having on young people. To our knowledge, all of these websites are run by people who, as we do, support protections in employment, housing, and marriage for all same-sex attracted and T people. Links are not necessarily full endorsements of everything that exists on outside websites. Gender Health Query is not involved in recieving donations at this time and is a volunteer based action group. Below are some links to individuals, organizations, or groups addressing the topic of detransition and medical transition side-effects that may receive donations from individuals who wish to support their cause.

AMQG: This is a french language site.

Bayswater Support Group: This group is for people in the UK and Ireland. “We are a group of parents in the UK and Ireland who have been brought together by our experiences of parenting children with gender dysphoria or who have declared a transgender identity. @BayswaterSG

Canadian Gender Report: Parents and professionals concerned about the medicalization of identity and the erosion of sex-based rights.

Cari Stella: Stella is a detransitioned lesbian who transitioned as a teen. She explains this experience in videos here. Her blog is not currently active but is still up, and an interesting survey she did on detransitioned women (an understudied situation) can be found here.

Detransition Advocacy Network: A UK based group. “We call upon the NIH SGMRO to acknowledge the existence of the growing detrans community, and to allocate funds in direct support of detransitioners' unique, urgent, and largely unmet medical needs."

Gender Care Consumer: “The Gender Care Consumer Advocacy Network (GCCAN), founded in late 2019, seeks to empower recipients of gender transition-related care to become healthy and whole.” This group is set up to aid both trans people as well as detransitioners. @officialGCCAN

4thWaveNow: This site was started by the parent of a trans-identified teen who desisted, and supports a variety of parents (mostly liberal, pro-gay parents) who have children who desisted or are still trans-identified. The focus of this website is to highlight the risks of medical treatments to minors and young adults, especially to LGB youth. This blog is openly not supportive of medical treatments on minors that results in permanent changes and sterilization. It has featured posts exposing some of the harm of current “queer” youth environments and online spaces (completely ignored by official activism labeling itself as “LGBT” activism and media). This includes articles from same-sex attracted female teens who feel they are growing up in environments that promote poor mental health, and accounts of poor sexual boundaries in some of these environments (here and here). A helpful article discussing the differences in presentations of gender dysphoria by psychologists Micheal Bailey and Ray Blanchard, can be found here. @4th_WaveNow

Fair Play for Women: This UK organization has some relevant links reviewing the reality that males with gender dysphoria retain significant advantages over women and girls in sports. @fairplaywomen

GD Working Group: This site includes Dr. Ken Zucker, who is one of the world experts on childhood gender dysphoria, but is considered very controversial in the trans community because of his more cautious approach to medically transitioning minors. Zucker believes using the affirmative model to treat gender dysphoria is likely to prevent desistance in childhood, thus medicalizing would-be gay youth. This is the main concern of Gender Health Query and concise data on this subject is nonexistent. The site also includes other scientists and mental health professionals, such as Ray Blanchard, Micheal Bailey, and Debra Soh. @ZUCKERKJ, @BlanchardPhD, @profjmb (Bailey), @DrDebraSoh

Gender Identity Challenge: GENID is a group for Sweden and Norway.

GNC-Centric: GNC is a desisted lesbian who makes videos that provide insight into how the gender identity movement affects young gender nonconforming females. @gnc_centric GNC-Centric also runs Detrans Canada, for Canadian detransitioners TorontoDetransMeetup@gmail.com).

KIRJO: This is a group in Finland. “The transgender phenomenon is based on gender ideology which harms our society in many ways. It is now time to start the conversation about gender ideology. Is gender dysphoria the new anorexia?.” @IKirjo, Facebook

LGB Alliance: This is an LGB group in the UK who have raised some concernsabout the lack of debate arround the transition of gender dysphoric youth. @AllianceLGB, Facebook

Lisa Marchiano: Marchiano is a LCSW and jungian analyst who has been in contact with many parents of gender dysphoric teenagers and young adults. She is also part of the GD Working Group. @LisaMarchiano

No Corpo Certo Campaing: This group contacted GHQ. "We are a Brazilian campaign against the transing of kids. We totally support your goals and wish medical interventions will stop on Brazilian children and teens."

Our Duty: “We are a support network for families affected by gender ideology and ROGD. Our Duty is to protect our children from serious harm.” @OurDutyGrp, Facebook

The Pique Resilience Project: This is a group of young desisted and detransitioned females. Much of what they have to say is critical of the affirmative model and the current gender ideology culture that youth are immersed in. It is a different narrative than the positive transition stories that are promoted on almost all liberal media websites, and by media and organizations who label themselves as “LGBT.” @PiqueResProject

Post Trans: This is a resource guide for detransiioners.

Redress Alert: “If you're reconciling with being female after a period of dis-identification--including transition or not--you are not alone.”

Rethinking Identity Medicine: ReIME is based in the United States and says they will focus on best mental health practices. “The MISSION of ReIME is to promote the highest standards of care and ethics in the area of identity medicine for children and youth.”

Sasha Ayad: Ayad is an LPC and member of the GD Working Group. She has had success helping teens work through gender dysphoria. An interview with her can be found here. @SashaLPC

'So, you think you may be trans... A critical guide to the debate around trans identities for parents, teachers and others involved with caring for children and young people: Gender Health Query recommends the book by Tim Davies.

Stats for Gender: “Gender at your fingertips,” a resource with reliable source material to reference gender dysphoria information.

Tania Marshall: Dr. Marshall is a psychologist and expert in autism. She has some discussions about autism and gender dysphoria on her website (there is a correlation with autism and GD). She has written a book series (Aspian Girl) on female autism. She is also part of the GD Working Group @TaniaAMarshall

Transgendertrend: This is a British group started due to rising parental concerns about large increases of trans-identified minors, especially females. They believe girls have the right to sex-based protections in schools and law. They have some well sourced material, even some written by social science professionals, and a school resource pack that provides an alternative approach to dealing with gender identity in schools. @Transgendertrd

Transrational: This is a group of trans people from the U.S. and U.K. who provide alternative viewpoints (generally middle ground) to the ones heard from more militant activists, or even mainstream “LGBT”-labeled media. They support both sex-based protections based on female biology, and building resources for trans people. According to their manifesto at the time of writing this, they support a depoliticization of the discussion around transitioning children. @rational_trans

Transteens-Sorge-berechtig: This is a German parent group.

William Malone: Dr. Malone is an endocrinologist who does not believe the medical treatments involved in transitioning gender dysphoric minors are safe for all youth. @will_malone
